About Sibley P. Reppert

Sibley is a Partner in the Litigation Group in PCZL’s Boston office. Sibley has over 25 years experience litigating large and complex cases, including patent litigations in New York, Massachusetts, Washington, New Hampshire, California, Delaware, Texas, Minnesota and Washington, D.C. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in patent cases involving software, chromatography, laboratory instrumentation, laminated fluoroplastics, biotechnology, consumer products, electronics, machinery and Wi-Fi. Sibley has successful jury trial experience as lead trial counsel, most recently winning defense verdicts in a complex patent case in Boston, and a Lanham Act case in Seattle. Sib also has substantial experience in alternate dispute resolution, including numerous mediations and arbitrations.

Sibley’s representative litigations and matters include:

  • Cohesive Technologies, Inc. v. Waters Corp. (D.Mass, 2010) – represent Waters Corporation in patent litigation regarding liquid chromatography apparatus and method.  Obtained jury verdict of patent invalidity as lead counsel.
  • Blue Nile, Inc. v. Diascience Corp. (W.D. WA. 2009) - represented Diascience Corp. in false advertising suit under Lanham Act regarding clarity enhanced diamonds, obtained defense verdict as lead trial counsel.
  • Fishman Transducers, Inc. v. Home Shopping Network, et. al., (D. Mass.)– represent leading manufacturer of musical instrument electronics in pending action for trademark infringement and false advertising under Lanham Act.
  • Viscotek Corp. v. Waters Corp. (S.D. TX) - represented Waters in patent litigation, obtained defense jury verdict as lead counsel.
  • Etonic Worldwide LLC v. Kinetic Sports, Inc. et al, (D.N.J) – represented Etonic in action for breach of contract, trademark infringement, trademark dilution, and unfair competition involving shoes.  Obtained permanent injunction for Etonic as lead counsel
