About Joel Stein

Joel (Jody) Stein is a Partner in the Corporate and Patents Groups in PCZL’s Herzlia office. Jody focuses his practice on High-Tech transactions and intellectual property law, with an emphasis on representing technology companies.   In his international practice, Jody represents numerous multinational companies doing business in Israel in fields such as semiconductor equipment, pharmaceuticals, banking and homeland security. 

Jody has furthered the project finance experience he gained from his work in New York, by representing developers and investors in Wind Farm and Solar Energy power plants, both in Israel and in Europe.  

Prior to joining PCZL, Jody served as in-house counsel to DSIT Solutions, Ltd. (a leading Israeli defense technology and development company) and to Mofet Venture Capital Fund, a publicly held technology venture fund. During his six years of practice in New York, Jody was in the Leasing and Project Finance practice groups of the New York City law firms of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius and Shearman & Sterling.

In his pro-bono work, Jody has for many years represented the MIT Enterprise Forum in Israel - the Israel branch of the MIT alumni group that counsels, assists and educates entrepreneurs. Since 2005, Jody has been the chairman of the Benjamin Children’s Library and Learning Center, a children’s library in his home town of Bet Shemesh.  He regularly lectures in university entrepreneur courses about intellectual property and start up finance.
