In patent procurement, we advise clients seeking patent protection for their technology.  We speak with inventors, both individual and corporate, research the applicable technology areas to keep abreast of advanced developments, draft patent applications, and prosecute patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and other patent offices around the world to secure the broadest allowable patent protection for our clients.  Our practice is supported by attorneys, patent agents, and scientific advisors, many of whom have advanced degrees in areas related to electrical engineering and the computer sciences.

We provide clients with sound advice concerning the complex business decisions surrounding the patentability of technology, the freedom to operate around other companies’ patents, and the potential infringement and validity of other companies’ patents.  We also perform due diligence on target companies’ intellectual property portfolios in the mergers and acquisition context.  Our attorneys use their experience in patent procurement and litigation to help clients avoid potential conflicts before they occur.

In dispute resolution, we advise clients on both potential and existing conflicts.  In this context, we respond to licensing requests received by our clients, including assertions of infringement before and after a lawsuit is filed.  We also represent clients seeking to license or assert their own patents, perform pre-lawsuit investigations, and litigate these cases if necessary.  Our attorneys have decades of experience litigating IP cases involving electronics and computer technology on behalf of virtually every type of entity in this field.
