The Life Sciences Practice Group has substantial industrial, legal and patent experience and includes practitioners with Ph.D.s.  The Life Sciences Practice Group  is involved in matters covering a broad spectrum of technologies, including:

• Biotechnology: molecular biology, genomics, microbiology, immunology, biochemistry, antibodies, proteins, bioinformatics, cosmetics, nutraceuticals, implants and medical devices
• Pharmaceuticals: active pharmaceutical ingredients, formulations, instrumentation, medicinal chemistry and drug design
• Nanotechnology: microfluidics, nanostructures, fabrication, electronic and optoelectronic devices

We provide our clients with the full spectrum of intellectual property and patent services, including: drafting and prosecuting patent applications; strategic management and assessment of IP and large patent portfolios; opinions on infringement, validity and/or patentability, including Paragraph IV opinions for the US FDA; negotiating terms and drafting agreements; IP aspects of mergers and acquisitions; IP licensing; competitive analysis; and counseling start-ups.
